Prior experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood or special education setting.An associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (a High school diploma with years of related experience will be considered).Collaborate with faculty and team members to share strategies and resources, ensuring a cohesive approach to student support.Encourage independence and self-advocacy skills in the student, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.Monitor and document the student's progress, behavior, and challenges, communicating effectively with the classroom teacher and education team.According to the teachers ' differentiated instruction, support the student in building necessary academic skills, such as early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social-emotional development and empowering the student to participate fully in classroom activities.Assist in the development and implementation of hands-on, play-based learning experiences and direct instruction that align with progressive educational principles.Provide one-on-one support to the student during classroom activities, ensuring their active engagement and understanding of concepts.Collaborate with the classroom teacher and educational team to understand and implement individualized education plans and goals for the student.
